CONFIRMED!
Everton have pulled it off, there's the confirmation. Incredible how much easier it is to execute transfers when there's only one person making the decisions at this club?
CONFIRMED: Everton sign striker Armando Broja on loan from Chelsea
— Royal Blue Mersey (@RBMersey) August 31, 2024

Still no official confirmation from the club but major media sources are saying this is done.

The Broja-mance Lives On!!
Wherever Armando Broja is concerned Everton are always nearby, I have no idea why to be honest. But reports are Everton do have a deal sheet in as they attempt to nab Broja on loan after his move to Ipswich fell through!! They have just under two hours to get the paperwork all done. The proposed deal is for a season-long loan with an option to buy for £30million.
More from The Athletic on Broja’s failed moved to Ipswich - the Tractor Boys wanted the package revised on the player given that he would be out until mid-October with a foot injury, and the two clubs couldn’t agree on a deal. Now the Toffees will try to make a deal with Chelsea.

Window Shut!
Pencils down everyone! The 2024 summer transfer window is now closed. If there are any deals still in progress they may still advance with a deal sheet, as long as negotiations had reached a certain stage.
There’s transfers falling through everywhere now - Ernest Nuamah’s move from Lyon to Fulham has collapsed. Ipswich Town’s double attempt at getting Reiss Nelson and Armando Broja has also not worked out.
Everton’s magic number is seven, that’s how many players the Toffees have brought in over the summer.

Bye Bye Mason
I do believe we have now see the back of Mason Holgate as an Everton player.

Back for DCL?
Chelsea have failed in their long-winded pursuit of Victor Osimhen, and having missed out on Ivan Toney earlier, could they return for a late, late bid on DCL?
Todd Boehly worked tirelessly on Victor Osimhen move once Chelsea learned Napoli were willing to reduce price. Agreement could not be reached on contractual terms. Player held firm on demands & Chelsea refused to shatter wage structure. No deal. #CFC https://t.co/JbeP7VKBrb

All is quiet
Not a peep from the usual Everton sources in the last hour or so. Since it’s likely this club can pull off a completely hush-hush deal, it likely just means that there’s no more incomings once the Mangala deal is sealed.

Chelsea cool DCL interest
Now that one came from nowhere eh? Big difference in valuation though between Everton and Chelsea on Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and it appears the Toffees were not that interested in David Datro Fofana either.
There has been interest from Chelsea in Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is valued at around £25 million despite entering the final year of his contract.

Bye Neal
First deal of the day confirmed! As expected the polarizing Neal Maupay has left for Marseille on loan with an obligation to buy. Everton are set to make €6million, and bonuses could take the total to about €10m.

I’m not sure Evertonians will miss him, and vice versa.

Chelsea want DCL?!
That kinda came out of nowhere.
Currently looking like Dominic Calvert-Lewin stays at Everton. Remains to be seen if he becomes an option for Chelsea if they miss out on Osimhen and Toney.

Mangala medical
The midfielder’s medical is underway.
Orel Mangala is beginning his medical for his loan move to Everton from Olympique Lyonnais
— paul joyce (@_pauljoyce) August 30, 2024
7am BST
So, here we go?
The only main leads we have on today is that Orel Mangala is coming in for a medical to become our third loan signing, while Neal Maupay is headed out also on a loan deal.
Beyond that, will Newcastle or Manchester United make a play for Dominic Calvert-Lewin? How about an Italian side for Beto? Will the Toffees then have enough time to react by moving for winger Ernest Nuamah? And will the Blues also bring in fullback Lorenz Assignon?
Welcome to RBM’s transfer deadline day live blog. It could well be a busy day for Everton, but with the Toffees looking like they have already used up three of their possible four loan slots and little to no money to spend, don’t expect more than one or two more incoming players. The right back picture is slowly getting better with Seamus Coleman now returning, but a younger player at that position might be very nice to have, with Lorenz Assignon now being mentioned as well.
In the outgoings department though there might be some movement. Neal Maupay’s departure on loan to Olympique Marseille is just about done. There is still a question mark over whether it will be Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Beto starting and the other going out the door, though it will not be surprising to see both stay.
Abdoulaye Doucoure is off to an abysmal start this season, and with the Saudi Pro League transfer deadline still open for another week or so, he could well still be moving soon to provide the Toffees with some salary relief.
Beyond that it’ll likely be more youngsters going out on season-long loans to the lower leagues for further exposure. Harrison Armstrong has impressed among men, but will Dyche choose to keep him with the squad or let him develop his game on loan?
