TCM Monthly Schedule No Longer Available to Print?

Postby lydecker »
OK. In the never-ending "How user-unfriendly can we make the TCM website?" category comes a new daily schedule that does not have any links to the database (as as the previous online schedules) so you can no longer search the title on the schedule page for things like: Credits, Articles, etc. etc. and I noticed that there is also no longer a link so that you can print an entire month's worth of the schedule. When you hit "print" it only takes you to the page that is currently displayed which is generally all the same day. Now, since this is SUTS Month, you can go to the "Month Highlights" page and it will print each Star by day and the films being played on that star's day. But, I fear the monthly schedule (starting in September, 2024) is a goner. Sigh. Don't know about you but I loved printing the month's schedule and planning my watching/taping each month on TCM.

I've noticed tcm.com/summer does not show the list of stars for each day, only a PDF to download. In looking at the new schedule, it is very different. Just East or West time adjustments. I used to look at the monthly schedule. Oh wait! I do that here!
I don't subscribe to the monthly newsletter. Have no idea what it includes. I look at the Xfinity guide on my tablet as I can scroll quickly. Don't look very far in advance. For the most part, only watch TCM on weekends.
Big or small let's save them All! Breast Cancer Awareness Month, October 2024.

I loved the Now Playing Guide and, when it was discontinued, I was very disappointed and I was reduced to printing the whole monthly schedule out. Then in the last year or so, the margins on the schedule were not right. It wasn't my computer, because I tried it at work!! and it still didn't print well. Then when I tried to print September this past weekend, I found no option to print the whole monthly schedule as one document, but instead day by day, I thought that was too much aggravation (and too time-consuming.) Instead, I found escapepress.com, which has the TCM schedule at-a-quick-glance highlights (9 pages) and the whole month; but the whole month takes up A LOT of pages. You can also subscribe to REMIND magazine, which has TCM's schedule, but sometimes it does not have overnight programming. Just thought I would mention these options for those who would want to look into them. I have always planned ahead just like Lydecker, I was very saddened to learn of the ultimate demise of the message boards on TCM. Then someone told me of this site. But I stay so busy, I never take the time to get on here. To all who remember me, take care.

The escapepress.com schedules are actually compiled and created by a forum user: cmovieviewer.
